ICH Rule Questions

1. Predict which rule might be broken (though unintentionally) by you or your classmates. Support your prediction with a clear explanation citing examples.

I think that 'Do not plagiarize' may be the most broken rule by the class, even though it will most likely be unintentionally. If someone does not know the answer to a question, they may be tempted to Google it and not cite the source they found the information on. While they may make an honest effort to understand the material presented on a page and to put it into their own words, they may forget to cite it or neglect to so that Ms. Day does not know that they needed additional material to understand the information presented in class.

2. Select the rule you believe to be the most critical. Support your decision with a clear explanation citing examples.

I think that 'Do not share any personal information' is the most critical. This is because there are many not so friendly people on the internet. For example, if I posted my first name, that I was in ICH and that I went to PRHS it would be extremely easy to find out who I am and where I live, even without knowing my last name. Obviously, a stranger showing up at my house would be extremely creepy as well as dangerous as the person could be any type of person, including a criminal.
